Can You Help?

topic posted Mon, May 15, 2006 - 2:18 AM by  S
I have developed a website www.earnsafelyonline.com and spend hours each day trying to get traffic. I post free classifieds, send emails, drop leaflets - the lot. Yet the traffic and conversion rates are low probably because I have written articles which are honest. I frankly tell visitors they won't be making any free instant income etc. Probably this limits the enthusiasm the site generates.

Can anyone suggest any good ideas for improving traffic on my site. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to advertise using paid services as the small loan I took for setting up the website has run out. Do I need to change the articles on my site and give a more attractive picture?

I am determined to succeed so ideas are welcome. But please do not give me any ideas which require money, banner exchange or pyramid schemes. They don't work.

Don't stop writing real, People need real and they will revisit your site because of it. There's too much bull shit out there. Those sites will loss in the long run.

Getting traffic to a new site is always hard, it takes time. The way I do it is working on finding other relevant sites to trade links with..find a lot. also do a search for directories, add your site to as many as you can. Make your site search engine friendly and after about six months you should start getting traffic from them.

Also, I would apply for a Google AdSense account and place them high up on your pages, that should start you on some income from it until you make some sales. Just don't stop working on it. Write daily, its spider food. Find a few more sites that will link to you daily. But of course don't get involved with the linking schemes, that will only piss of Google.

Good luck, its hard work, but if you don't give up..you'll make it

P.S. Placing your link in these kinds of places just to get traffic doesn't work. But really networking and getting to know people that will trust you does work.
